Your desk has five chargers on it and a power strip you are slightly afraid of. This replaces all of it with one box. Ah, and the box has a screen, because yeah, why not?

Arms day, but for gamers
Two ways to play on a phone: prod the glass like a man swatting a mosquito, or clip on a controller and accept that your pocket now has a dedicated gaming compartment. Razer's answer folds, which is the interesting part, and we love interesting parts. Oh, and if it looks pretty wide, that is because it is.
The Razer Prio is a foldable mobile controller that collapses to roughly the footprint of a credit card and twists open into a full two-handed gamepad: capacitive thumb sticks, a tactile four-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers and triggers. It runs on USB-C only — no Bluetooth, no pairing, no battery to charge, it drinks power juice from your phone instead — and it holds up to 7-inch handsets including the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra, while clearing most slim and medium cases without you getting the phone out first. The face buttons are deliberately silent for bus and waiting-room duty so only your shouting will disturb others, a dedicated Razer Cortex Mobile button throws you straight into your library, and it plays nice with Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, PS Remote Play and Razer's own PC Remote Play. Folded, it is the size of the things you already carry; unfolded, it is as wide as your arms can reasonably hold = it's ok.

Nostalgia with a hinge
Somewhere between a phone and a Game Boy there is a shape we all remember and nobody has shipped since, maybe with good reason. 8BitDo shipped it for thirty dollars.
The 8BitDo FlipPad is a $29.99 flip-style gamepad that plugs into your phone's USB-C port and folds down over the screen like the top half of a 1997 flip phone, turning a slab into a proper vertical handheld. It is wired USB-C, so there is no pairing and nothing to charge, the hinge is rated for over 6,000 open/close cycles and the connector for over 10,000 insertions. You get a real D-pad and ABXY buttons with actual travel, all in 31.5g, and it still works with most cases up to 2mm thick. It asks for iOS 26.2+ or Android 13+, a phone body of 8–10mm, and there is a black EDC edition sold only through 8BitDo's own eShop.
Coolness factor: 7/10 | DKIWT factor: 8/10 (Why? at $30 it is an impulse buy, and on the DKIWT side, a flip-phone gamepad in 2026 is pretty cool, I'd say).
